Tristan began playing formally at the age of 2 and started private lessons with coach John Letts - Stanford All-American, Kalamazoo winner, ATP pro - at the age of 2 1/2. Tristan is currently working with world-reknowned coach, Rick Macci, former coach of Andy Roddick, Jennifer Capriati, Venus & Serena Williams. He trains in Florida with Rick Macci five weeks a year and in California with Brian Teacher, former Australian Open Champion, and John Letts, former ATP touring Pro, the rest of the year. He has also worked with Nick Bollettieri, Robert Lansdorp, and Arkady Edelman - for Soviet national coach, and junior coach for ATP Pro Max Mirnyi.
