About Tristan

Tristan stands 52 inches and wears a shoe size 3.
He also plays AYSO soccer and Little League baseball.
Tristan’s favorite men’s professional tennis players are Roger Federer, Max Mirnyi, and the Bryan Brothers. His favorite female player is Maria Sharapova.
His favorite tennis clothes are Nike and Adidas, shoes are Babolat Team Junior III.
He plays with a Babolat Junior Cortex racket, strings are Pro Hurricane Hybrid 17.
Tristan loves to play tennis everyday and claims he wants to win the French Open someday.
Tristan’s birthday is April 21.
Tristan has two elder sisters (Elizabeth aka "Zibby" and Catherine) who are all-star soccer players, and a younger brother (Dylan) whom he competes with.
At the 2005, 2006, 2007 & 2008 Indian Wells ATP and WTA tournament, Tristan was treated to a hitting session on one of the practice courts with his "friend" and touring pro, Max Mirnyi.

Tristan has been playing tennis since he was 1 ½ years old when he started swinging at small balloons around his home and dragging his father’s tennis racket behind him. After learning to hit tennis balls in his driveway, he graduated to formal tennis lessons with local pro, Stanford graduate, and all-American John Letts in Pasadena. He has been traveling to Florida since he was 3 ½ to attend week-long training sessions with Rick Macci at his Deerfield Beach tennis academy.

According to Rick Macci, “Tristan is the scariest little tennis creature for a five-year-old whom I’ve ever seen in my life. He has unlimited potential and it will be exciting to watch his career unfold. He has all the tools for greatness and technically sound, unbelievable strokes.” Tristan is the youngest boy ever to work with Rick Macci.

Robert Lansdorp also works occasionally with Tristan. Tristan is Robert's youngest student ever and he calls him “very talented.”
