Tristan began playing formally at the age of 2 and started private lessons with coach John Letts (Stanford All-American, Kalamazoo winner, ATP pro) at the age of 2 1/2. Tristan is currently primarily working with world-reknowned coach, Rick Macci (former coach of Andy Roddick, Jennifer Capriati, Venus & Serena Williams). He has also worked with Nick Bollettieri, Robert Lansdorp, and Arkady Edelman (for Soviet national coach, and junior coach for ATP Pro Max Mirnyi).
